Employer & Advisor FAQ

What is Rx ‘n Go Beyond?

Rx ‘n Go Beyond is an alternative, mail-order pharmacy program that consists of approximately 140 brand name, maintenance medications offered to eligible members at $0 cost. It is complementary pharmacy program and does not replace the existing pharmacy benefit provided by your sponsoring employer.

How is the Rx ‘n Go Beyond program different from Rx ‘n Go program?

The Rx ‘n Go Beyond program provides member access to certain brand name medications through our pharmacy partner located in Manitoba, Canada. The Rx ‘n Go program provides access to generic medication and insulin products through our pharmacy fulfillment partner located in Southgate, Kentucky. Both programs are safe ways for members to receive their maintenance medication for free.

Because medications are coming from two different pharmacies and jurisdictions, a member will need to manage their prescriptions via two separate and secure online portals.

How much will it cost my employees?

Your employees will not pay anything to receive the brand name, maintenance medications that are covered through
Rx ‘n Go Beyond. There are no hidden fees, no membership fees, no enrollment fees, no copays, and no shipping costs. Members on more traditional PPO health plans will have access to approximately 140 brand name, maintenance medications, while members on QHDHP / HSA plans will have access to approximately 100 brand name, preventive medications, all for free to the member. That’s right, it’s totally free to your eligible employees and their dependents to treat their ongoing medical conditions.

How much can I save my company with Rx ‘n Go Beyond?

With the Rx ‘n Go Beyond program, sponsoring employer groups typically save 40-50% on the same brand name medications manufactured by the same major pharmaceutical companies. See Example Financial Impact Analysis.

What costs and fees are associated with this program?

As the sponsoring company, you only pay the fixed fee cost of each medications that your employees request from the
Rx ‘n Go Beyond program via a doctor’s prescription. There are no PMPM costs, no access fees, implementation fees, or ongoing management fees.

Plus, we have a very transparent pricing model, and only invoice twice a month for the actual prescriptions ordered by your members during the billing period.

How can Rx ‘n Go Beyond provide my employees access to free medications delivered to their homes?

The Rx ‘n Go Beyond program will help facilitate the individual personal importation of prescription medications from licensed pharmacies in Canada. On July 24, 2020 an Executive Order Increasing Drug Importation to Lower Prices for American Patients was signed into effect. This order noted “Americans spend more per capita on pharmaceutical drugs than residents of any other developed country. Americans often pay much more for the exact same medications, even when they are produced and shipped from the exact same facilities.” The Secretary of Health & Human Services encourages the importation of lower-cost prescription drugs for individuals, specifically noting Canadian pharmacies.

What safety protocols are in place to ensure quality of medications?

Medications on the Rx ‘n Go Beyond Covered Drug List are approved by Health Canada. Any order placed through the Rx ‘n Go Beyond program must include a valid prescription written by a U.S. licensed healthcare practitioner. Orders will then be reviewed again by a Canadian physician and pharmacist to confirm for appropriateness and to check for any potential harmful drug interactions or contraindications. Medications will be shipped in original manufacturer’s packaging to ensure quality and safety.

All of the prescription medications offered through the program are sourced through Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certified manufacturing plants. To ensure compliance with GMP regulations, the Health Product Compliance Directorate (HPCD) inspects establishments that fabricate, package or label, distribute, import, wholesale or test medications.

Is it safe to have my medications shipped internationally?

Absolutely! The majority (about 80%) of medications in the U. S. are already being manufactured and imported internationally from FDA approved facilities today. The Rx ‘n Go Beyond program allows for members to access these same medications at a much lower cost from pharmacies located in Canada. Health Canada follows similar approval processes and quality assurance measures as the U.S.’s FDA.

How are my members able to place orders online?

Members are only able to place orders after the individual has entered into a written agreement with
the Rx ‘n Go Beyond program where Rx ‘n Go Beyond is appointed as the member’s agent authorized to shop for their prescription medications on the behalf of the member in the Canadian marketplace. Every order must be accompanied by a written prescription, issued by the member’s own licensed healthcare practitioner, which will be verified and authenticated by both a Canadian doctor and pharmacist.

Why is Rx ‘n Go Beyond not on the pharmacy label?

Rx ‘n Go Beyond is not a pharmacy. The Rx ‘n Go Beyond program facilitates your personal importation of prescription medications to help you save on branded prescription medications.

Our Canadian pharmacy partner is located in Manitoba, Canada and is licensed by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba. The Rx ‘n Go Beyond Customer Service Team works directly with our Canadian partner pharmacy to ensure that all orders are properly filled and safely shipped.

How do my employees order refills?

Ordering is easy. Employees can place your order online via our online platform at https://rxngo.com/beyond or by calling our Customer Care Team at 833.390.1043.

A copy of the prescription is all that is required to start processing the order. The prescription can be mailed, faxed or uploaded to your account via our website. Members must mail in the original prescription to support@rxngobeyond.com

We highly recommend the doctor issue your prescription for an entire year’s supply. All refills will remain on file for future fills. Our Canadian Pharmacy partner is able to dispense a ninety (90-day) supply at a time. The member’s online account will always show your remaining refills.

Shipping time averages approximately two weeks but can take up to four weeks. We always encourage members to fill 30 days in advance of running out of your medication. Once the order has shipped, members will receive an e-mail notification which will include any tracking information if available.

How long does it take for employees to receive medications?

Once our fulfillment pharmacy, Canadian Pharmacy, has confirmed your registration and validated your prescription, the first fill of each medication through Rx ‘n Go Beyond may take 3-4 weeks to arrive. After the initial fill, your orders will be set to refill should we receive a prescription for over 90 days. Our Customer Care Team will confirm the refill order with you so that you will know that it’s on the way.

If it the member is being prescribed a medication for the first time, they should make sure to fill a 30-day supply at their retail pharmacy. The first shipment of any medication from the Rx ‘n Go Beyond program can take 3 to 4 weeks to arrive, so we want to ensure your members have a supply of the medication on hand during the 3 to 4 week processing and shipping period.
